I have always had a deep and abiding love for all things Audrey Hepburn. She was the reason why I fell in love with ballet flats, too many years ago to count and why I have always dreamed of owning a pair of Ferragamo’s one day!
Salvatore Ferragamo was one of the pioneers of fashion in Italy and his shoemaking genius saw him begin making shoes for hollywood stars for both on and off the set, in California from the 1920s. Besides making shoes for Audrey Hepburn he also designed shoes for Rita Hayworth, Sofia Loren, Ingrid Bergman, Ava Gardner, Katherine Hepburn, Marlene Dietrich, and Bette Davis and many more.
So for this Wishlist Wednesday I have a perfect pair of Ferragamo flats in a pale pink, which will never, ever go out of style!
Ferragamo Varina Flat
I love this duster coat from Topshop, it has beautiful muted neutral stripes that will pair well with so many outfits, making it a coat you can use all the time! Plus this coat can be worn now or as a transitional piece, on those days when the weather is warmer but the afternoons and nights still get a little chilly.
Last night was the Golden Globes and you better bleieve I was sitting on my couch in my jim jams watching every little bit of it!
Here are some of my favourite looks of the night
For my husbands New Year work party tonight I plan on wearing this feminine shimmery dress from Kate Spade. It’s a perfect party dress that can be worn throughout the seasons – with bare legs and heels in warm months and with black tights during cooler ones! I love the simple silhouette which allows the pattern and shimmer of the dress to be the main focus.
I love Charlotte Olympia flats especially the now famous Kitty Flat, but when I saw over the weekend the Charlotte’s Web flat, I fell in love all over again! I love how both of these shoes can dress up even the simplest of outfits, are so comfy to walk in and add a playfulness to your look.
I also love that all Charlotte Olympia styles include a polaroid of the shoe. You can then place the polaroid on the front of the shoe box to identify what style is within!
Uruguayan artist Valeria Rienzi uses watercolor as medium to highlight fashion trends and her most coveted items. I love her stuff and how her illustrations just jump of the page and make you want to keep looking at them. Here details are so good and yet again shows how fashion adn creativity can go hand in hand! You can buy some of her items at a newly launched art gallery called Buddy Editions.
I love this time of year, whether it’s carols, christmas themed movies, decorating the house – I fully embrace all things Christmas!
I also love to add a little christmas pizzazz (that’s right I said pizzazz) to my wardrobe even if it’s just a red plaid scarf or a pom pom beanie (hey it’s getting cold over her in SF!)
Here as some of my Christmas wear finds that will get even the ‘grinchiest’ of people into the festive spirit!
Plaid Excursion Vest
Gap Pom Pom Beanie
Polka Dot Pajama Pants
And not to forget my furry son. A plaid dog collar.
Today I thought I’d share some gift ideas for the men in your life. Some items are bigger purchases but some will be great stocking fillers as well as secret santa gifts.
J Crew Brushed Twill shirt
Bose Bluetooth Speaker
Flannel Pajama Pant
Nike Free 5.0
Kiehl’s Hydration Essentials Kit
See’s Candies Silver Box
Nothing is better when its cold of a night then slipping into your favourite cozy pjs. Honestly if I could live in pjs somedays I would, especially on a weekend when its cold outside and you want nothing more then to stay indoors and keep warm and toasty!
Here are some of my fav pjs of the moment:
Old Navy Waffle Knit Pj Leggings - these look so good on, throw on a longer sweater, some boots & you could so walk the dog in these as well!
Gap geo Knit Leggings
This Modal top is perfect for over leggings or thermal knits – super soft and cosy!
J Crew Heart PJ Set
Target Thermal PJ Set – great value set in a cute range of colours.
I just bought these Madewell boyjeans and I love them! They are the perfect blend of slouchy and slim and are so soft and comfy to wear. Sometimes boyfriend style jeans end up too slouchy or are just loose in all the wrong areas, but not these – a relaxed fit but still a slim silhouette.
